Led by senior Aidan Pollard, Fredonia State finished sixth in the 2019 SUNYAC Men's Cross Country championship race Saturday.

The Blue Devils' top five finishers combined for 171 points, with Pollard checking in at 25th overall – 23rd in the team scoring. His time for the 8,000 meters was 26:49.7 over the Hudson Valley Metrodome course.

Pollard was followed by Kyle Campbell (32nd overall; 29th in scoring), Ryan Dunning (41st; 36th), Matthew Erman (48th; 41st), and Noah Watkins (50th; 42nd), with 57.2 seconds separating the quintet.

Collin Barmore, 44th in the team scoring, displaced three SUNY Buffalo State runners, and Anthony Ruiz, 49th, displaced one, lending to Fredonia State's 32-point margin over the Bengals, who were seventh overall. The higher team finished earned Fredonia State two points in the Battle By The Lake series.

Fredonia State leads the series, 6-4, with winter and spring sports remaining.

Next up for the Blue Devils is the 2019 NCAA Atlantic Regional meet on Nov. 16 at Canton, N.Y.
