Assistant Professor Lee Golembiewski will explore creating safe spaces and implementing gender-affirming care in a presentation on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
The talk, “Creating Safe Spaces and Implementing Gender-Affirming Care: More Than Just an Ally,” will present information on how to be an ally in providing gender-affirming care to transgender and gender-diverse people. It will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Williams Center Room S204 and is free and open to the public.
Dr. Golembiewski, a faculty member in the Department of Psychology, is a member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 2, Society for the Teaching of Psychology, and an activist and advocate for the advancement of LGBTQIA+ and other underrepresented populations.
Co-sponsors of the presentation are the New York State chapter of the western division of the National Association of Social Workers and SUNY Fredonia’s Social Work program. The western division comprises eight counties.
