The Empire State Arts Scholarship program is providing financial assistance for students to attend SUNY Fredonia’s Summer Music Festival.

Middle and high schoolers can apply online at https://www.oce.nysed.gov/nysssa/empire-state-arts-scholarship-program for an Empire State Arts Scholarship to attend one of the summer music camp sessions.

A total of nine scholarships, valued from $100 to $700, have been awarded to students in the last two years. Scholarships are awarded to students based on family income level and financial need. To be considered, the family annual adjusted gross income must be below $91,000.

This year’s festival will offer multiple levels of music camps: middle school band, high school band, choral, piano and string. Two new camps, modern band, and composition and songwriting, have been added for 2025.

Each week-long camp will be held during one of the following weeks: June 29 to July 5; July 13 to July 18; July 20 to July 26.

Registration information is available here.
