James Hunter
“Graduate a CEO,” an entrepreneurship forum, will be conducted by James Hunter in Williams Center Room S204 on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
“This interactive forum is designed to provide attendees with the tools, resources and networking opportunities needed to turn your idea into successful ventures,” said Director of the Center for Innovation and Economic Development Chuck Cornell.
Refreshments will be furnished at the entrepreneurial forum.
Mr. Hunter will also conduct a separate hands-on entrepreneurship workshop for students in Williams Center Room S204, on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from noon until 2:30 p.m.
Attendees are encouraged to pre-register online for the student workshop by Tuesday, Sept. 10, so an accurate headcount can be made for lunch that will be furnished.
Both entrepreneurial sessions are free and open to students, faculty, staff and community members.
Hunter was the Bostrom Entrepreneur-in-Residence, teaching entrepreneurship, at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has also held top leadership positions in several companies.
Additionally, he has mentored students and entrepreneurs to create successful businesses and has taken two of his startups to sale. He continues advising individuals starting and running companies.
Hunter is the author of “Graduate A CEO,” a book directed toward college students encouraging them to start a business while in college.
