Students in the Fredonia Chapter of the United States Institute for Theater Technology (FUSITT) will be offering backstage tours.

The tours will be for theatre patrons, following performances of “Legally Blonde” in Marvel Theatre.

The Department of Theatre and Dance production continues at 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 and 2. It a Walter Gloor Mainstage Series event with Tickets available online 24/7 or by phone at (716) 673-3501 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

FUSITT has a table in the Marvel lobby to the left of the entry stairs showcasing the work that the student and faculty technicians have put into the show. After the performance, interested patrons can gather there to participate in the tour. There is no specified cost, but patrons are asked to donate to FUSITT.

All money raised by the tours goes to fund the club’s trip to the 2025 USITT conference, which will be held in March in Columbus, Ohio.

“With USITT being so close by this year, we are pushing to have even more students attend the conference, so any and all donations help,” said Colton Baum, FUSITT Executive Board member. “There will be information about all of the technical elements of the show and some of the challenges that we may have run into, and information about the process, all while being able to go onstage, backstage, and generally explore the space.”
