A Halloween atmosphere will distinguish the Student Composer Concert to be fittingly presented on Monday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m.

The Ethos New Music Society and the Fredonia Composition Area are co-sponsors of the concert series held in the Juliet J. Rosch Recital Hall.

“We make these concerts fun to attend – you can feel the community that these concerts foster at every one of them,” said Nick Cristoforo, a senior Music Composition major and longtime public relations chair of Ethos New Music Society. “We have a concert close to Halloween every year, and they are extra special because everyone wears costumes, including the performers on stage!”

It is the second of six Student Composer Concerts in the 2024-2025 academic year. All are free and open to the public.

“Concerts like this that feature newly created music in such a wide variety of styles is rare, especially in the Western New York area,” noted Mr. Cristoforo, of Patchogue, NY.

Three different kinds of free stickers featuring the Ethos New Music Society’s mascot, a duck, will be given to concertgoers while supplies last, making the atmosphere even more fun and lighthearted.
