Tutoring Services is currently accepting applications from students interested in joining the staff for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The office is hiring in most academic areas including: accounting, biology, business administration, chemistry, computer sciences, economics, geosciences, math, music, statistics, writing as well as peer success coaches. Students  are paid and work regularly scheduled hours. No previous experience is necessary and training is provided.

A current tutor, senior Colleen Tytler, majoring in Molecular Genetics and Chemistry, noted: “Tutoring has been one of the highlights of my time here at Fredonia! I will forever be grateful for the connections I have made through tutoring, whether it be helping my peers to succeed in their courses, the friendships I have gained, or the supportive environment- tutoring has been one of the most rewarding and meaningful experiences I have had here.”

Annemarie Harrigan, a senior Biochemistry major added, “Being a tutor at Fredonia has been one of the best experiences I've had here. The Learning Center cultivates an atmosphere of support and growth for both students and tutors. I've had the opportunity to push myself and grow in ways I never expected. Tutoring has allowed me to connect with people within my discipline and, more importantly, with those outside of the sciences. Working directly with students has been incredibly rewarding, as I get to share my love of chemistry and witness their progress firsthand.”

Students can apply online.  The deadline to apply is Friday, April 4 at 4 p.m.
