Junior Allie Wandell was selected First Team All-SUNYAC by a vote of conference coaches on May 14. The shortstop from Newark Valley High School was the most consistent player for the Devils all season.
"Well deserved," said head coach Tony Ciccarello. "Allie is a hard worker and a great leader. When she was successful, we were successful. She led our push to the SUNYAC Tournament and excelled in the tournament."
Wandell finished the year with a .333 batting average and three doubles and three triples. She led the Devils with 39 hits, 21 runs, 11 stolen bases and 18 RBI. She was the only player to start all 39 games this season.
In conference play, she stepped up her production. She batted .429 (24-56) in 18 SUNYAC contests. She finished the season on an eight-game hit streak (12-27. .444).
