Welcome Week kicks off the start of the “Get Involved and Get Connected campaign,” new this semester!
Students are urged to be on the lookout for upcoming GI&GC events:
- Tuesday, Aug. 27, 8:30 p.m., Dods Grove. Screening of the 2004 hit “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.” Popcorn will be provided. Bring a blanket to watch the movie under the stars (Spectrum Entertainment Board).
- Wednesday, Aug. 28, 6:30 p.m., Williams Center Multipurpose Room. Test your knowledge with Kahoot Trivia. Bring a smartphone to play! Free nacho bar to enjoy (Spectrum Entertainment Board).
- Thursday, Aug. 29, 6:30 p.m. Williams Center Patio. Ice cream social and yard games. Build your favorite sundae and relax with music provided by Sound Services.
- Friday, Aug. 30, 6:00 p.m. Grocery Bingo. The classic bingo game, sponsored by Spectrum Entertainment Board, with a twist! All prizes are grocery items! At 8:00 p.m. in McEwen Hall Room G24 there will be Family Feud with Club Ultimate Frisbee and Club Field Hockey.
Activities Night is the following week
Students should save the Date for Activities Night and Network on the Go on Wednesday, Sept. 4, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Dods Grove. Co-hosted by the Student Association and the Career Development Office.
More activities will be announced as part of the “Get Involved and Get Connected” series hosted by Campus Life and campus co-sponsors: Greek Life Recruitment, Red Cross Blood Drive, Student Association General Assembly, and Family and Friends Weekend.
