The Department of Computer and Information Sciences will hold a workshop on Raspberry Pi single board computer and its applications.
The program, co-sponsored by Faculty Student Association, will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Houghton Hall Room 224 (robotics and vision lab) in the department.
Dr. Syed Misbahuddin of Seneca Polytechnic institute Toronto, Canada, will conduct the workshop.
Goals of the four-hour workshop are to understand the operation of the Raspberry Pi single board computer and configure it for various applications, and to gain hands-on experience of IoT and other applications using Raspberry Pi.
Resource requirements for the workshop are programming concepts, Raspberry Pi 3 or 4, Raspberry Pi hardware, light emitting diodesX5, jumper wires (female to male) and bread board.
