The Brown Bag Series and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office will host a Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Awareness discussion for faculty and staff on Monday, May 5 at noon in Reed Library Room 126.
The room, on the first floor of the library, is also known as the Bonsai Room. Those who attend the discussion are invited to bring their lunch.
The discussion will be facilitated by Dr. Bill Boerner, who serves as the campus’ Chief Diversity Officer.
Dr. Boerner noted that sexual harassment and sexual violence in higher education has gained significant prominence nationally through the work of the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault. The discussion will help faculty and staff understand and assess the Fredonia campus climate regarding sexual harassment and sexual violence. The office is also interested in hearing feedback about the current policies and practice on campus, and also thoughts about the recent White House report.
