Fredonia will welcome 30 undergraduate students from Mexico for English as a Second Language studies, beginning Monday, Oct. 17, through Proyecta 100,000, a Mexican government scholarship program.

During their four-week stay, the students will attend courses at the EC English Language Center in Jewett Hall and participate in cultural programming and campus activities organized by the Office of International Student Services, EC English and the Office of International Education. They are pursuing a variety of majors in science, business and education.

Fredonia student organizations and faculty from all disciplines are encouraged to connect with these students in cultural and academic exchange activities. For more information, contact the Office of International Student Services.

Proyecta 100,000 is a result of a renewed spirit of cooperation between the governments of Mexico and the United States and meetings between President Barack Obama and Peña Nietro, president of Mexico.
