Fredonia’s Residence Life, with assistance from the Weekend Hang Out Activities, plans its annual little sibling’s weekend for 2012 with a variety of entertainments from Friday, Feb. 24 until Sunday, Feb. 26. The weekend is devoted to kids between age 6 and 14. Participants will have opportunities to interact with their college siblings and other students through different activities hosted in residence halls.

A registration fee is required for each child to participate in all activities during the weekend. Pre-registration with a fee of $7 has to be done online by Thursday, Feb. 23. Guests could also choose to register in person with a fee of $10 while arriving on Friday evening between 5-8 p.m. at the Gregory Hall lobby. Purchase of meal plans and T-shirts are optional for pre-registers only. Four meal-plan choices are provided: Saturday brunch for $ 6.50, Saturday dinner for $7.95, Sunday brunch for $6.50 and three-meal package for $20.35. Child T-shirt costs $8 while adults will be charged $8.50 for a T-shirt.
Friday’s entertainments include Circus Cookie Cut Outs, Ice Cream Social, Just Dance, Friendship Bracelets, coloring, Apple Cupcakes, Sand Art Mandala and Family Game Night.

On Saturday, Feb. 25, kids will have a wider range of choices of events: Scavenger Hunt, open swim, Kidz Play Adrenaline Rush, Jousting, Obstacle Course, Sibling Smartz, Photo Booth, Popsicle Stick Frame, Life-Sized Candyland, “the Muppets” and the Carnival.

For the past 21 years, Fredonia has held its annual Little Siblings weekend, with as many as 350 youths per year participating in many different activities.
