The Carnival for a Cure, the annual Ultra Violet fundraiser sponsored by Sigma Kappa sorority, will be staged Saturday, Oct. 1, 3 to 6 p.m., at the Dods Grove at SUNY Fredonia.
Popular carnival activities, such as face painting, kan jam, balloon toss, corn hole and an ice cream eating contest, will be offered at the carnival. Admission is $3; tickets are available at the SUNY Fredonia ticket office.
All proceeds will benefit the Sigma Kappa Foundation and the many causes that it supports. Ultra Violet events are designed to raise unrestricted dollars to support any of the Foundation's many causes:
- Alzheimer's/Gerontology
- Leadership & Educational Grants
- Scholarships
- Sister-to-Sister Disaster Recovery Fund
- Educational Area Grants
- Maine Sea Coast Mission
- Alumnae Heart Fund
