SUNY Fredonia will continue its tradition to welcome employees’ kids for Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work Day program on Thursday, April 26. The theme of this year is "Build Opportunity: 20 Years of Education, Empowerment, Experience." Children, ages between 7 and 16, are eligible to register for this program with supervisory approval.

Applications need to be returned to Monica White, assistant vice president of Student Affairs by Friday, April 20.

Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work is a national public education program sponsored by the Ms. Foundation for Women, a not-for-profit charity that has supported women in the areas of health, safety, and economic justice for over 20 years. SUNY Fredonia’s participation in the program began in 1994, and in 1995 participation was expanded to include sons. The event provides an opportunity for daughters and sons to see firsthand the importance of their parents’ workplace responsibilities.

The event co-sponsors include the Employee Assistance Program, Student Affairs, Alumni Affairs, vice president of Administration, office of Admissions, office of Residence Life, Student Association, Campus Life, FSA, Tim Horton’s and X-Press Promotional Solutions.
