This year’s theme is “Teaching as a Public Service: Challenges and Opportunities for Transforming Public Education.”
Students, faculty, and community members interested in attending should e-mail Linda Rex with their name, e-mail and major (students) by March 23. Onsite registration will also be available. For those who pre-register, a certificate of participation will be provided at the end of the symposium.

Dr. Shannon Budin, an alumna of SUNY Fredonia and Assistant Professor of Exceptional Education at Buffalo State College, will serve as the keynote speaker at the event. Her keynote is titled, “Transforming Education through Research to Practice: All I Really Need to Know, I Learned at SUNY Fredonia.”
The symposium will provide an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and area teachers to collaborate in reporting research in the field of education. The research symposium also affords all educational professionals with an opportunity to hear about the various researches being done by SUNY Fredonia students and faculty.
Participants can choose from several interactive educational sessions and poster sessions throughout the day. Light refreshments will be served throughout the duration of the symposium.
