Child in sandbox

Join the campus community this Thursday, May 7, at 11 a.m., as university and local, regional and state government officials break ground on the new $4.6 million Campus and Community Children’s Center at the corner of Temple Street and Brigham Road on the west end of campus.

The new 16,000-square-foot structure promises to not only offer a state-of-the-art facility for families all across our campus and the community at-large, but also will provide our students and faculty in the College of Education and related areas with additional instructional and research capabilities.

Joining the many VIPs will be members of the Children’s Center staff — as well as some of its current “customers,” who will literally lend a hand in the groundbreaking ceremony.

So take the time for a little recess Thursday morning. Because you’re never too old to come out and play.
