SUNY Fredonia’s Latinos Unidos will host Latin comedienne, actress, and writer Sara Contreras for the opening ceremonies of Hispanic Heritage Month on Monday, Sept. 16. Her visit to Fredonia will include a dinner in the William Center Horizon Room at 7 p.m. followed by a comedy performance at 8:30 p.m. in McEwen Hall Room 202.
Ms. Contreras is most known as one of the country's best comedians in, "The Original Latin Divas of Comedy.” She has also been a commentator and writer for MTV3, made appearances on “Law & Order” and “The View,” and has performed in several comedy clubs throughout New York City.
Hispanic Heritage Month commemorates the history, culture and contribution of American citizens who are of Latin decent and the opening ceremonies kick off a month-long occasion.
It is a free event; however, tickets are required and are available at the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office in the Williams Center. Tickets were completely sold out during Contreras' last show at SUNY Fredonia.
