Students can learn about a wide variety of volunteer opportunities available to them at the annual Community Service Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
The Office of Volunteer and Community Services, along with its Volunteer Services Advisory Committee, hosts the fair, now in its 13th year, to connect students to local service agencies so they can learn about and sign up for volunteer opportunities.
Participating agencies include: the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, Campus and Community Children's Center, Catholic Charities, Greystone Nature Preserve, Chautauqua County and Lakeshore Humane Societies, Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Habitat for Humanity, Circle of Love, Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Fredonia Fire Department, Henry C. Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders, United Way, WCA Home, St. Columban’s On The Lake assisted living facility, Chautauqua Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Council (CASAC) and The Friendly Kitchen, among others.
The fair is free and open to students, faculty, staff and community members.
