SUNY Fredonia faculty and staff can make healthy living a festive part of their holiday season by visiting the inaugural “Wellness for the Holidays” fair on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.

Key attractions include healthy lunch items, live music, prize giveaways and information from area businesses that offer wellness products and services. Recipes for healthy meals will also be distributed.

Prizes to be given away include certificates for dance classes and gym memberships, a gift basket of eco-friendly products, two tickets to “Songs for a Winter Night” at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House and spa packages. Several gift baskets containing pottery made and donated by SUNY Fredonia student Justin Leavitt as well as knitted items and jewelry made and donated by the campus UFO craft group will also be given away.

The event, sponsored by the SUNY Fredonia Employee Assistance Program, is free and geared to faculty and staff, though students and community members may also attend.
