Dr. Mark White, chair of the Department of Political Science, Economics and Philosophy at CUNY-Staten Island, will speak on Tuesday, April 9, as part of the Department of Business Administration’s 2012-13 Business Ethics Lecture Series.

His talk, based on his 2011 book “Kantian Ethics in Economics: Autonomy, Dignity and Character,” will be presented at 7 p.m. at S204 Williams Center.

A prolific writer, White is the author of over 30 journal articles and book chapters at the intersections of economics, philosophy and law and is a frequent presenter at scholarly conferences. He is also editor or co-editor of six scholarly books of essays and author of 40 scholarly academic journal articles and several popular philosophy books.

White is president-elect of the Association of Social Economics. He received his doctorate in Economics from the University of Cincinnati in1997.

Admission to the lecture series is free and open to the public.
