The holiday traditional “Hanging of the Greens” at Fredonia will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
The evening will feature free crafts, music and cookies, along with Bears to Build, a unique activity in which students and children stuff a bear or other animal of his/her choice, place a custom print on a t-shirt that the animal will wear and fill out an adoption form. These will be available for cash-only purchase of $8, while supplies last. Also offered will be hot cocoa jars, at $2.
A young child, assisted by President Virginia Horvath, will click the switch that will light the Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m.
The program, sponsored by Spectrum Entertainment Board, is free and open to the public. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
