The Career Development Office will host its eighth annual Graduate School Fair on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room. A series of workshops devoted to specific graduate school topics will also be held beginning Oct. 17.
Fredonia undergraduate students and alumni are welcome to attend the fair to learn more about graduate schools and the available opportunities. Nearly 70 graduate and professional programs, including a variety of industries and disciplines spanning from business, education, health/medicine, humanities and science, will be represented. Fredonia’s graduate programs will also be featured, with representatives from the School of Music, the College of Education, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Graduate Studies Office.
A variety of presentations about graduate school topics to be held throughout the week include:
- “Financial Aid for Graduate School” - Monday, Oct. 17, 3 p.m., by the Financial Aid Office, Williams Center Room G103B;
- “Applying to Graduate School” - Monday, Oct. 17, 4 p.m., by the Career Development Office, CDO in Gregory Hall;
- “Graduate Admittance Exams” - Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2 p.m.:, by the Career Development Office, CDO in Gregory Hall;
- “Advance with Fredonia: Graduate Programs and Application Steps” - Thursday, Oct. 20, 3 p.m., by the Office of Graduate Studies, Williams Center Room G103C
- “Health Professions Application Process” - Thursday, Oct. 20, 6:30 p.m., by Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Williams Center Room G103B;
- “Careers in Public Affairs and Policy”- Thursday, Oct. 20, 6:30 p.m., by SUNY Albany Rockefeller School of Public Policy (with details about the new B.A./M.P.A. joint program offered through Fredonia), Williams Center Room G103C.
