SUNY Fredonia’s Career Development Office will host a Graduate School Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. in The Williams Center. Students as well as members of the community who may be interested in attending graduate school are invited to attend.

Representatives from graduate programs at dozens of universities including Syracuse, Temple, Hofstra, Clarkson, and the Rochester Institute of Technology, as well as numerous SUNY schools will be present with information. Representatives from SUNY Fredonia's own Graduate Studies Office will also be on hand. A variety of fields will be represented including business, education, the humanities and health. Recruiters are still registering for the event so there may be additional representatives present.

There will also be three pre-fair workshops offered the same day as the fair to assist students and alumni in applying to graduate school. Any students interested in attending one or more of the Pre-Grad Fair Workshops must register at https://fredonia.joinhandshake.com/login beforehand.

Pre-Grad Fair Workshops include the following:

1) Preparation: 3:00-3:30 pm, S104 Williams Center
Nervous about those grad school exams? Whether you're taking the GRE, MCAT, LSAT, GMAT or other pre-grad school exams, this workshop can help. Keith Ryan from Kaplan Test Prep will do a presentation on preparing for the exams and answer questions regarding these tests.

2) The Application Process: 3:00-3:30 pm, S121 Williams Center
Trying to make sense of your grad school applications? The SUNY Fredonia Graduate Studies Office will walk you through the process. Statements of purpose, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and other key issues will be covered. SUNY Fredonia's application will also be discussed.

3) Financial Aid: 3:30-4:00 pm, S121 Williams Center
Headed to grad school but not sure how to pay for it? SUNY Fredonia's Financial Aid Office will do a presentation on the financial aid process for graduate school. This workshop is open to students regardless of where they plan to attend grad school.
