The 3-1-3 Program at SUNY Fredonia will hold its annual Informational Meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 7:10 p.m. in 202 McEwen Hall.  The gathering will explain the time-shortened degree program that SUNY Fredonia offers to prospective students who wish to complete their degree early by enrolling in the 2011 fall semester.

Representatives from the Office of Admissions, area high school guidance counselors, current 3-1-3 students and 3-1-3 program staff will be available for questions.

The 3-1-3 program allows students from participating local high schools to graduate from SUNY Fredonia within three years. The college gives credit for the competition of select high school courses and the high schools, in turn, give credit to students for courses completed at SUNY Fredonia. Students accepted into the program must attend three years of high school, followed by a transitional year in which the student enrolls in SUNY Fredonia class while still attending high school. As a result, students are able to earn their degree in three years.

Students and parents interested are encouraged to attend. For more information, parents can contact their school guidance counselor or 3-1-3 Program Director, Liza Smith at 716-673-3550. Information is also available at www.Fredonia.edu/tlc
