Tamar Hoseloff
Dr. Tamar Yoseloff, an award-winning poet and editor, will present a public reading of her most recent collection, “The City of Horns,” as well as other selections, on Monday, Sept. 16, at 6 p.m. in Room 209 McEwen Hall.
A wide range of ideas and subjects are covered by Dr. Yoseloff in her writings. She is most interested in the relationship between poetry and visual art, especially contemporary art. Dr. Yoseloff works as a freelance tutor in creative writing and runs many workshops addressing the concern with poetry and place.
Dr. Yoseloff, born in the U.S. in 1965, moved to London in 1987 to pursue a career in writing. She earned a Master of Philosophy degree in Writing from the University of Glamorgan and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing from Aberystwyth University, both located in Wales. She also teaches for Birkbeck, University of London, and works for the writer development agency Spread the Word, and the Poetry School in London.
The event is free and open to all campus and community members. It is presented by the Department of English, College of Liberal Studies and Sciences, Women’s Studies and Women’s Student Union.
