The musicians, also members of the Postacchini String Quartet, were hosts to the Fredonia students and faculty members including professors Julie Newell of the School of Music and Paul Mockovak of the Department of Theatre and Dance.

The string quartet will present a concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 at Niagara Falls (N.Y.) State Park; on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church at 160 Court St., Buffalo; on Monday, Sept. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Elizabeth S. Lenna Hall at Chautauqua Institution; and on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Juliet J. Rosch Recital Hall at SUNY Fredonia.

On Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., the group will perform at the Opus 118 program in New York City, which was founded by SUNY Fredonia alumna Roberta Guaspari and is known today as the Opus 118 Harlem School of Music, which provides classical music training for nearly 400 children in the East Harlem area.

The concerts are free and the public is invited to attend. Lyric Arts International activities are made possible through support from the Carnahan-Jackson Humanities Fund of the Fredonia College Foundation and the Fredonia Alumni Affairs Office.
