Jennifer Cinque, a SUNY Fredonia graduate who has already demonstrated a proven record of success in several positions within Student Affairs, has been appointed Internship Coordinator and Career Counselor in the Career Development Office.
In her new position, Cinque will be responsible for internship/employer relations and collaboration with faculty and staff to continue promotion and expansion of the internship program. She will host events to advertise internship opportunities and also give individual and group presentations on campus to encourage participation.
“I am thrilled to continue my career at Fredonia, my alma mater and home, and I would like to thank everyone who played a role in preparing me for this position,” said Cinque, who earned a bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education in 2004 and a master’s in Curriculum & Instruction in 2006, both at SUNY Fredonia. She begins her new assignment Thursday.
Cinque joined Student Affairs in 2004 as residence director of Kasling Hall and, two years later, became residence director of Igoe Hall. During her tenure, she also worked part-time in Admissions, Summer Orientation and Career Development. Cinque grew up in East Aurora and is a graduate of Iroquois Central School, Elma.
She has lived on campus for the last 11 years and, with her 2-1/2-year-old son, Charlie, and recently relocated to a new home in Fredonia. “I have officially lived on campus since the fall of 2000, and look forward to being a part of the Fredonia community off campus,” Cinque said.
