Julie Graham, a junior biology major with a minor in chemistry from Elmira, N.Y., has been selected as the recipient for the March 2009 Student of the Month.

Vice President for Student Affairs David Herman nominated her for the honor based on her dedication to the campus community. Students are selected by the Student of the Month Committee, whose members are all residence hall directors. Members are Allison Adams, Jennifer Cinque, and Cate Schrum. Recipients of the award are actively involved both on campus and in the community.
Ms. Graham is the elected junior class representative to SUNY Fredonia's Student Association, and she is vice president elect for the 2009-2010 biology and chemistry clubs.
An honor student, she has been inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, Alma Mater Society, and Golden Key International Honor Society. She is a recipient of the SUNY Fredonia Keeper of the Dream scholarship.
Julie is featured on the Fredonia Live web site where she gives a testimony of her experience at SUNY Fredonia to prospective students.
Following graduation in 2010, Ms. Graham plans to pursue a doctorate in pharmacy.
The Student of the Month program began in 2003 to recognize students’ success and dedication in both the classroom and the community. The committee is comprised of administrative employees as well as residence hall directors.
