U.S. citizens who receive a Pell Grant as part of their financial aid package are eligible to apply for a Gilman Scholarship, which awards up to $8,000 for study abroad.
Information about Gilman Scholarships – the application process, how to write a winning essay and prepare for an international study experience – will be offered to students at workshops to be held at the Williams Center Room S204E on Monday, Feb. 19, 3 p.m.; Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2 p.m.; and Friday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m.
The deadline to submit a Gilman scholarship application for early summer and Fall 2018 study is March 6. Faculty references are not needed and there is no GPA requirement to be considered for a scholarship.
