The campus community is invited to an Open House in the Learning Center on Friday, Feb. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. to meet new staff members Amy (Stokes) Leclair and Karly Davis, and see the results of recent changes in the construction and configuration of the Learning Center, which is located in the Carnahan-Jackson Center of Reed Library on the fourth floor. Refreshments will be available.

Leclair is Fredonia's new Coordinator of Academic Advising and Liberal Arts, and Davis is secretary/receptionist for all Learning Center programs.

The Learning Center, directed by Liza Smith, currently houses College Tutoring Services, Disability Support Services for Students (coordinated by Adam Hino), the Full Opportunity Program (coordinated by Kimberly Mead-Colegrove), the 3-1-3 early admission program and now, the Office of Academic Advising and Liberal Arts.

Leclair, who holds a master's degree in information design and technology from SUNY Institute of Technology, is responsible for guiding Fredonia’s liberal arts students toward academic success and will manage the Freshman Seminar programs and co-chair the Summer Orientation Committee with Director of Campus Life Michael Lemieux. She was previously an admissions counselor at SUNY IT and an academic advisory at Bryant & Stratton College in Buffalo.
