FREDONIA, N.Y. — Feb. 5, 2009 — SUNY Fredonia will host its first Social Science Colloquium of the semester, as Guy Boysen, assistant professor of psychology, explores the issues of biases that exist in teaching and learning. The event will take place on Monday, Feb. 16, at 3 p.m. in Fenton Hall, room 108.

The title of Dr. Boysen’s talk is “Dealing with Incidents of Bias in the Classroom: Student and Teacher Perspectives.” Dean David Ewing of the College of Natural and Social Sciences will sponsor the event, and refreshments will be provided.

SUNY Fredonia’s College of Natural and Social Sciences is comprised of several departments including biology, business, biochemistry, chemistry, computer and information science, economics, geosciences, mathematics, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, social work, speech pathology and audiology, sports management and exercise science.
