SUNY Fredonia senior Nicholas N. Spawn, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, from complications related to Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). Nick was majoring in Communication (TV & Digital Film), and was very active on campus until his disease forced him to take a medical leave this semester. Nick's journey with ALL was the focus of a Facebook site that was followed by more than 1,500 friends, family and concerned supporters. Visit the site>>
As an expression of sorrow, SUNY Fredonia flew its flags at half-staff on Monday, Dec. 13, the day of his memorial service at the Chapel at Crosspoint, in Getzville, NY. There will also be a memorial service held in Binghamton at a later date.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Upward Bound TRIO fund at Binghamton University, “BU Foundation Account #10409”, P.O. Box 6005, Binghamton, N.Y. 13902.
