The Visioning Committee for the new College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) invites all faculty, staff, students and interested parties to an Open Forum on Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m to 1:30 p.m. in the Horizon Room of the Williams Center. Information will be shared and input will be requested.
Background:
During the fall semester the SUNY Fredonia CVPA Visioning Committee identified key issues in the creation of this new college and interviewed a number of stakeholders.
The committee worked with the Educational Advisory Board (a best practice consulting group), which created an advisory report entitled “Establishing and Smoothing the Transition to a New College of the Arts” on our behalf.
A Mission Statement is now in draft form and new structural/reporting possibilities are under consideration.
The committee would now like to share their findings as well as solicit input from additional campus constituents as we move forward in both the planning process and the search for a Founding Dean.
