SUNY Fredonia’s Office of Volunteer and Community Service will host its ninth “Operation: Breakfast Rescue” Nov. 7, 8 and 9, to benefit the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry’s “Friendly Kitchen.”
Those interested in donating are asked to give non-perishable food items such as cereal, coffee/creamer, oatmeal, pancake mix, breakfast bars, baby formula, cream of wheat, canned fruit, and other shelf-stable breakfast food items.
Donated breakfast items can be dropped off on Friday, Nov. 9, in Room G 103-C of the Williams Center from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Donations can also be placed in boxes located in Reed Library on Wednesday, Nov. 7 and Thursday, Nov. 8 (all day).
The Chautauqua County Rural Ministries (CCRM), a United Way, grassroots advocacy agency that meets the needs of impoverished families in the local community.
Operation: Breakfast Rescue is led by Joyce Harvard Smith, Coordinator of Volunteer and Community Services, with assistance from VCS intern, Brian Jaeger. This event is co-sponsored by Volunteer and Community Services in coordination with Daniel A. Reed Library and Delta Chi.
