Two weekend performances of “Re-Entry,” an exploration into what happens to U.S. Marines and their families when these combat veterans return home, will be given by the SUNY Fredonia Performing Arts Company at American Legion Post 59, 156 E. Main St., Fredonia.
The play is based on real-life stories of Marines who had served in Iraq or Afghanistan and were attempting to re-enter civilian life. How their families were impacted by that experience is also part of the play, which is described as being honest, moving and surprisingly funny. “Re-Entry” is based entirely on interviews of more than 100 Marines and their family members. First produced in 2009, it serves as the PAC’s inaugural experimental production of the season.
“Re-Entry” will be presented Saturday, Nov. 10, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 11, 2 p.m. Admission is free.
