A talk on solar energy by Ralph Nader, internationally-known consumer and environmental advocate, is one of more than a dozen events planned during the observation of Earth Week at SUNY Fredonia April 19 through 26. Plans also include the showing of films, an electronics recycling day, the launching of a native plant garden, and discussions on water, politics, population, and the future of food.
Other guest speakers scheduled are U.S. Congressman Brian Higgins and Walter Simpson, director of "U.B. Green."
Mr. Nader will appear in King Concert Hall on Friday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. The title of his address is, “Who is Eclipsing Solar Energy and Energy Efficient Technologies and What Can We Do About It?” Tickets are available in the SUNY Fredonia Ticket Office at 716-673-3501 or online at a cost of $15 each. A limited number of student tickets is available at a reduced price of $5 each.
