The DFT Communications Pops Series will present “Christmas on Broadway,” featuring The Best of Broadway, on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m. in King Concert Hall. The concert is sponsored by Bahgat and Laurito-Bahgat as part of the Lake Shore Savings Season.

The concert will feature music from Broadway shows and classic films. The songs include “White Christmas,” “O Holy Night,” “Feliz Navidad,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and other seasonal favorites. Also included will be selections from non-seasonal Broadway hit musicals.

The four professional singers from The Best of Broadway are returning to Rockefeller Arts Center by popular demand for their third performance. “Christmas on Broadway” follows “The Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber” in 2007 and “Broadway Showstoppers” in 2008.

“The Best of Broadway is comprised of four very talented performers who have a great rapport with audiences,” Rockefeller Arts Center Director Jefferson Westwood said. “Their performance of ‘The Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber’ was the best-attended event in our 2007-08 season and their Christmas show is sure to be a highlight of this season.”

The Best of Broadway performers are:

■ Raymond Saar, who has performed on concert stages and in theaters throughout the world. He starred as Raoul in “Phantom of the Opera” in San Francisco and played Marius and Enjolras in “Les Miserables.”

■ Diane Ketchie, who made her Broadway debut in “Phantom of the Opera” and also starred in the San Francisco production of “Phantom” as Carlotta.

■ Valerie Perri, who is best known to theater audiences for her award-winning performance in the lead role of Eva Peron in the Tony Award-winning musical “Evita.”

■ Scott Harlan, who has appeared in the national companies of “Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?” and “The Rocky Horror Show.”

In addition to their credits from Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, The Best of Broadway performers have made guest appearances with major symphony orchestras around the country, performed in major concert venues including Carnegie Hall and made a command performance at the White House.
