In “The Skeptics of Science,” Zachariah Braunscheidel, from Eden, N.Y., proposes a novel account of the distinction between science and pseudo-science. The essay “When You Play,” by Andrew Sblendorio, from Marcy, N.Y., concerns the nature of music and its relation to the expression of emotion. Both papers were written for the fall 2012 PHIL Capstone Seminar and chosen for the conference by blind review.
