Dr. Sozanne Solmaz of the Department of Chemistry at SUNY Binghamton will be visiting campus on Wednesday, March 21, to present a lecture on her research, which is focused on the importance of nuclear positioning in brain development.
The lecture is slated for 4 p.m. in the Science Center’s Kelly Family Auditorium (Room 105). The event is sponsored by the Chemistry Club and is open to the public.
Dr. Solmaz is an assistant professor of biological chemistry. She earned her M.S. from Leibniz University of Hanover, Germany, in 2001, and her Ph.D. from the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics and Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, in 2006.
