Students will have an opportunity to meet with a variety of local service agencies and learn about and sign up for volunteer opportunities at the 14th Community Service Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Williams Center Multipurpose Room.
Participating agencies include, but are not limited to, the following: American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County, United Way of Northern Chautauqua County, Campus and Community Children's Center at Fredonia, Chautauqua Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Council, Catholic Charities, Chautauqua Adult Day Care Center, Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center, Cancer Services of Chautauqua County, Dunkirk-Fredonia Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts of Western New York, Greystone Nature Preserve and the Fredonia Migrant Education Program.
Also, Lakeshore and Chautauqua County humane societies, Make-A-Wish Western New York, Salvation Army, St. Columban's on the Lake Retirement Home, Henry C. Youngerman Center for Communication Disorders at Fredonia, Upward Bound, Western New York Developmental Disabilities State Operations, Habitat for Humanity and Circle of Love.
The fair, hosted by the Office of Volunteer and Community Services, is free and open to Fredonia students, faculty and staff and community members.
