Fredonia is focused on preparing students for meaningful careers in their chosen paths. In addition to individualized advisement sessions with their faculty advisor (a member of the music faculty) each semester, students may make an appointment at any time with Laura Koepke, Associate Director, to discuss their course load and selection, progress within their major, or any other topic/issue that is important to the student. In some instances, students may be referred to the Counseling Center for additional assistance.
Fredonia music students are also strongly encouraged to engage with the Career Development Office, located in Gregory Hall, for comprehensive career counseling and advisement. Topics include (but are not limited to): exploring career pathways, internships, preparing resumes and cover letters, interview skills, graduate school, and more.
