The spring Arts and Sciences Brown Bag Series continues on Wednesday, April 4, with a panel on “SUNY Fredonia 2.0: Innovative Student Projects and Organizations,” featuring representatives from three student organizations that have experienced great success through their innovative use of social media to promote their groups and events.

Panelists include: the co-presidents of Fredonia for St. Jude’s, Megan Dash and Will Wickett, and the organization’s vice president, Patrick Bettcher; Michael Carbone and Andre Cobham from The Raphy Report; and, Fredonia Radio Systems’ general manager Jud Heussler and station manager Sarah D’hilly. Dr. Natalie Gerber, associate professor of English, will host and moderate the panel.

The spring series of lunchtime talks, “‘On Education’: A Tribute to Jean-Jacques Rousseau,” commemorates the 300th anniversary of the birth of the philosopher, writer, and composer. The series concludes on May 2 with “Rousseau at 300.”
All lectures take place between noon and 12:50 p.m. in the Horizon Room in the lower level of the Williams Center. The presentations are free and open to all campus and community members. Classes are welcome. This year’s series is directed by faculty members Teodora Cox, mathematical sciences; Jack Croxton, psychology; Laura Johnson, communication; and, Theodore Lee, biology.
