The first Brown Bag Lunch Lecture of the spring semester will explore “How Social Media Creates Our Reality” on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from noon to 1 p.m., in Williams Center Room S204. All monthly Brown Bag talks are free and open to campus and community members.
Serving as guest speakers will be Criminal Justice professor Michael Aiello, Communication professor Joseph Stabb and Director of Counseling Tracy Stenger. Each will participate in a 30-minute presentation that will be followed by a brief discussion and refreshments. Opening remarks will be given by Distinguished Service Professor Jack Croxton. Students in Dr. Smith’s classes will be given extra credit for attending the talk.

“Detours on the Information Highway” is the theme of the 2016-2017 Brown Bag lectures series, now in its 11th year, that is sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. This year’s series has been organized by Physics professor Mike Dunham, Biology professor Scott Medler, Communication professor Roslin Smith, Politics and International Affairs professor Ivani Vassoler-Froelich and Dr. Croxton.
