Volunteering
Showing a concern for others is a personal characteristic that should be demonstrated when applying to health professional schools. There are many different ways students can contribute to the community.
Pre-health students have volunteered with a variety of organizations within the community. Students have been guides at the Chautauqua Blind Association's Dining in the Dark Fundraiser, assisted with the care of the dogs and cats at the Lake Shore Humane Society, volunteered at the fun run/walk for the Child Advocacy Program and with other organizations in our community.
