Internships
Students can earn academic credit for pre-health internships. Internships are set up through the Career Development Office. Students will need to contact the practice where they wish to intern and then fill out the internship contract. Students can also do internships during the summer and J-term, but they do need to pay tuition for the credits.
Students have interned at local medical, dental, veterinary and optometry practices. In addition, students have also interned at the medical examiner's office in Erie County.
For information on internship experiences, please see Mark Dudek's reflections on his internship with the veterinian at the Buffalo Zoo and Krystal Lebron's from the Caribbean Primate Research Center in Puerto Rico.
