Gender Inclusive Housing

Gender Inclusive Housing is a safe and welcoming living space for students of all gender identities. Unlike standard room selection, where roommates are assigned based on the same sex, Gender Inclusive Housing allows students of any gender identity or expression to live together in a respectful, platonic way—this housing is not for romantic couples. This option is only available in suite-style buildings to allow for the bathroom to be shared only by those who wish to live in Gender Inclusive Housing.

Students can choose whether or not to tell their parents or family about their housing choice. However, the Office of Residence Life encourages these conversations to make sure everyone understands the living arrangement.
